A sustainable mobility concept for urban areas
- 2021 -
Hardly any topic is currently as hot and discussed as that of so-called sustainable mobility, environmentally conscious mobility. Daily traffic and the associated traffic jams, noise, stress and the resulting exhaust fumes are a burden on people and the environment. It is important to find innovative and interesting solutions that relieve the roads and make traveling without a car more attractive. At the same time, it is crucial to integrate regional materials that are of natural origin and grow back quickly in order to reduce the use of plastic in transport. The question of how the life cycle of a product can be further exploited is also part of this work. Approaches to this are creating awareness of models such as sharing, reuse and repair before throwing away a product. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop a sustainable concept for city traffic together with the fiber composite technology laboratory of the OTH Regensburg, which responds to the various needs of the users and becomes a loyal companion in the city. For this purpose, existing solutions such as e-scooters, folding bikes and unicycles were examined and the sharing offer in cities was dealt with.
From these points of view, a means of transport was created with the supervision of engineers and prospective engineers, which is integrated into the transport network with permanently installed docking stations and guarantees a spontaneous, flexible and special journey.
